At the base of the formula is beta-glucan, a polysaccharide obtained from yeast cell walls. Echinacea extract is a plant ingredient traditionally used for immune support. Vitamin C and selenium provide antioxidant support, while zinc is an essential mineral that contributes to normal immune function. The probiotic blend added to the formula supports gut flora, with which immunity is closely associated. It is used to support nutrition during seasonal transitions, periods of increased social contact such as boarding or dog parks, and in ageing dogs.
